A 29er carbon frame can be found through a number of different bike manufacturers depending on how the frame will be used. There are carbon frames for mountain bikes, road bikes, touring bikes and cyclocross bikes that all vary greatly because of their different uses.
A mountain 29er carbon frame will be much stronger and heavier, though still light, than a road frame to accommodate the increased wear and tear associated with mountain biking. These are some of the most expensive frames that money can buy so don’t expect to find a deal on one of these.
A 29er carbon frame for road biking applications and cyclocross will be incredibly light though the cyclocross frame will likely be reinforced and thus heavier. Other than this reinforcement they are almost identical although a road frame will have a lower profile and stance for the rider.
