Mountain bikes FAQs

Q: What’s the difference between a road bike and a mountain bike?
A: Mountain bikes have thicker frames, knobbier tires and more gears to handle technical terrain more effectively.

Q: What does downhill biking entail?
A: Downhill biking is a time-trial sport where riders navigate through a steep and treacherous course, letting gravity pull them to very high speeds. Downhill bikes require full suspension and pneumatic disc brakes to handle the obstacles that are prevalent on downhill courses.

Q: How do I size myself for a frame?
A: Measure the inside of your leg to the floor and then subtract 13” off the final measurement (11” for road bike frames). The final number will be the size of frame you need.
